The American Small and Medium Enterprise Investment Banking Association®MMIBA is a professional organization that specializes in providing training, testing and professional certification (the professional qualification of CMAP® Chartered Mergers and Acquisitions) to enhance the knowledge of professionals, the general public, academia and relevant regulatory agencies. The ideal candidate must:
1) Have considerable training and/or experience.
2) Have obtained a graduation certificate for an accredited course directly related to M&A.
3) To become a Chartered Mergers and Acquisitions Specialist (CMAP), in addition to meeting the above requirements, and passing the certification exam, the professional qualification of CMAP can be officially granted. In addition to passing the certification exam (see below) and obtaining CMAP certification, the
CMAP® standard
also includes the following: an
accredited college or university business or law degree, or, for example, those who do not hold a law or business undergraduate degree Obtain a Master of Business Administration (MBA) or a postgraduate degree in other business-related fields.
Two years of investment banking M&A experience, such as valuation, accounting, due diligence, tax consulting, etc. Four years of full-time experience.
In addition to the above, candidates must hold professional training from a recognized institution, such as finance, accounting, economics, or business management credentials, including recognized valuation analysts (CVA), accredited valuation analysts (AVA), and recognized Fraud Financial Analyst (CFFA), Accredited Business Valuer (ABV), Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA), Accredited Member ASA (AM), Certified Commercial Valuer (CBA), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Certified M&A Consultant (CM&AA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Accountant (CA), Doctor of Laws (JD), Certified Succession Planning Consultant (CEPA), Master of Business Administration ( MBA), or other recognized accounting or related financial documents, and approved by the Association.
Provide a business customer and two professional organizations or persons for verification.
Pass the four-hour CMAP certification exam.
